so our stale program wants continuity to remain stale with a lesser version of Les as HC?

how in the frick is that logical or rational?

Yep, how many schools have tried to hire Ed, since the Ole Miss debacle (as a HC)?

Let that sink in...Louisiana State University just hired a coach Ole Miss fired as theirs.

Not after some long rehab of being a solid Head Coach at a mid tier program...but after two separate interim gigs with super talented teams of other head coaches' programs.

I'm begging someone to tell me what the AD for the past 2 months...

Alleva had one job. Bring in a top HC.

Let me know which team at any level hired their interm coach and have success

you're talking about effort when we had 2 targets over months to search? that is the opposite of effort

Alleva promised to get the best coach available. He said he was going to make Saban and Urban Crier turn us down. He went for Jimbo, who used us last year to get more money.

Jimbo used us this year to get better facilities. Alleva talked to Herman. Who else has he approached? He needs to walk us through his search, step by step.

Les promised to change the offense and didn't. He was fired.

Alleva promised to get the best coach available and didn't. Is he keeping his job? If he is not fired today we need to know why. First though, he needs to walk us through the nuts and bolts of the "Search".

Charlie Strong would dominate as the DC as well. I want Aranda to stay, but Ed needs to make a blockbuster hire at OC. LSU has struggled on offense for far too long.

Then we could have kept Miles...

We already had that, even under Miles, or did you forget our payroll?

Wait...so we hire O but we don't yet know if we have Dave locked down?!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...sigh...

What more did you want from LSU? They took a legit shot at the two coaches

When you fire the head coach after game 4 and your coaching search involves 2 guys (one of which you screwed up with last year) then it was never a legitimate search to begin with.

Because O's ceiling is the last 3 years of miles, and his floor is 0-8 in the sec. LSU has no shot at competing for national championships with O. We basically just admitted that we have no interest in playing with the big boys.

Johnny Jones and Ed Orgeron tell you all you need to know about Alleva. He better hope Ed hires a brilliant OC, or he will be gone in 3 years too.

What is stale about top 5 recruiting classes? That's the continuity I'm talking about. Keeping who we have committed and keeping our recruiting staff in tact instead of starting from ground zero with Fedora and no coach O on staff.

People are overlooking what a huge deal it is to rake in blue chip talent year in year out.

No we're not...we're just remembering that we did that pre Orgeron, too. We also understand that as great as blue chip talent is, it doesn't coach itself.

Case in point, the fact that LSU leads the NFL in players and yet has not won an SEC title since 2011.

and what does this do to better the product on the actual football field compared to the Les era?

and Les showed that's irrelevant if your coach is mediocre in strategy and Xs and Os

and the Binder is an inferior Xs and Os coach to the Hat

The top head coaches more than pay for themselves. This is a lazy hire
