He is a winner, a proven winner at that, and is respected by all other coaches.

Defintely not a bad idea even though I do think he's a weasel. Pelini leaves and he brings back Muschamp with him.

Tuberville is maybe the beat Head Coach optionif Miles decides to go home.

I would prefer Miles to stay.

Tubby would be a great replacement. He wins at Auburn, a school without its own fertile recruiting homeland. Auburn competes for recruites as the alternative to Bama, UGA, Florida and FSU. I would imagine he could lock-down LA and cherry pick SE Texas, Mississippia nd the Florida panhandle very well.

Tubby's teams have always been defense first and he has gone out to find improved OCs.

I personnally would love to see a return to Muschamp's defensive style with a huge contact to Crowton to stay forever with his offensive style and pouring on the points. Tubby would likely enjoy hanging 60 on SEC teams, while shutting them out.

I really don't think we could do any better than TT, but I don't think he's coming.

It's funny but these are the same type of ramblings that were said about Terrell Owens when he was coming to the Dallas Cowboys. Very few fans of the Dallas Cowboys wanted him because of the things he had done as an opponent of the Cowboys. I can assure you that VERY few fans of the Cowboys would want to see him with a another team now. Funny how attitudes change when a player/coach wins, makes you a better team and helps your team get to the next level or maintain the level you're on. I'm willing to bet good money that if Tubby were our coach (which I'd have no problem with), as long as he kept us a winning program, beat our rivals, put us in position to win championships, all of the anti-Tubby talk would end quickly.

ETA: People have short memories when it comes to things like this.....and a whole lot of other things.

I really don't understand all the hatred for Tuberville on these issues. Other than the possibility that he knew about and ordered the cheap shot on Dorsey in this year's game (yes, I know he apologized, but he also didn't punish Chickenshit), there is nothing he's done, to my knowledge, that was in any way classless or disrespectful of LSU.

Smoking cigars after beating us? Are you freaking kidding? What in the world is so infuriating about that? Nobody called Red Auerbach classless for smoking cigars every time the Celtics won the NBA title. His team jumping on the eye of the tiger on the field in 2001? Come on! People who get their panties all in a wad over stupid crap like that are a joke.

In his public statements, Tuberville has always been very respectful of LSU. Other than beating us a few times when we expected to win, he's never done anything that should piss any LSU fan off. I really do not understand the hate that many LSU fans have for him, unless it's just simple childishness and being pissed at him for beating us.

As for wanting him as a coach, we could do worse. He hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Auburn, but he has won consistently at a program that is faced with some challenges. Not only a stepchild in their own state (even when Bama is down), they also have a ton of political corruption in their administration, are surrounded by strong programs that dominate recruiting in the areas where Auburn MUST draw to succeed, and really have nothing particularly special to appeal to recruits with. Yet, with Tuberville, they hang in there and contend fairly regularly.

He's not the best coach in the country or the SEC, and I'm not saying he'd be my first choice either, but we could do a whole lot worse than Tuberville if we do need to find a new coach after this season.

I got no problem with Tubby at all.

Would rather see him here than any other coach that has been mentioned.

Here's hoping we keep Miles.
