Every now and then I see an article or see some person write about Tuberville as a possible candidate. Now I just want to make sure that my feelings are about the same as other fans on this one… The only analogy I can draw to how I would feel would be this: If he became our coach it would be like being forced to live with your rapist, or the person that killed you mom… or some other type of person that had violated you in the past. I am not talking about his record vs. us. I am talking about the classless way he has played us for years and the classless way he has carried himself as their coach. All I am saying is that I don’t know how ppl want him as a coach, b/c the thought of that makes me truly physically sick.

because he went 12-0 in SEC, never went on probation, sends players to the NFL every year, beat Saban 3/5.

I don't care what he's done (i.e., 12 - 0 at Auburn). He's a slime-ball, always has been. We couldn't trust him. LSU should stay away from Tubby.

Get over it people......he's a damn good coach.
Beat Saban 3 outta 5 and shoulda won a national title when Auburn went 14-0....14-0 !!!.....in 2004.

Yeah he's this and that, all background noise. He can recruit. He can coach. He wins. All the rest...(class, cigars, stomping the eye) is all crap fans worry about.

He may never be LSU's coach, but if ya wanna be honest, you'll admit he is a good coach and LSU could do much worse than hiring him.

The guy can win in the SEC, period. He has been stabbed in the back by the administration at Auburn. If he can have the success he has had at Auburn, imagine what he could do with LSU... I think he is the top candidate if Les leaves.

See this is what I just fail to understand.... isn't it thinking like that, which ends you up with the problem the gumps are in now? Yes winning is the most important thing... but my question is simply that can you...as a fan...over look the hate for him as long as he wins? I would just have to drink alot to do it.

Has Tubby put Auburn or Ole Miss on probation? No.

Has he brought shame to either program? No.

Yeah, he smokes cigars in other peoples stadium and comes across as cocky and a gambler. So what?????

He wins and to our knowledge does not cheat.
He might be a dick...but he would be OUR dick !

1) He is a winner. Check out his record since becoming the head coach at Auburn.
2) I consider him to be the second best coach in the SEC.....behind only Spurrier.
3) He's been a successful recruiter.
4) He appears to surround himself with capable AND loyal assistant coaches.
5) IMO, he covets the LSU job.
6) Although no guarantee, IMO he's not likely to leave LSU for another coaching position.
7) He knows the SEC and has experience playing in/at every venue in the SEC.
8) IMO, he's the right combination of age and experience.
9) He's run a clean program.

I don't even know how to respond to this, or where to begin....

He may be a proven winner in the SEC and no one can dispute his accomplishments (undefeated season at AU, quality wins, and taking the Ole Piss job while they were on probation and still producing winning seasons).

But... I'm not willing to trade our reputation for his wins. You can keep the DICK, I'd like to keep my pride.

I haven't heard the first person who wants Tuberville here. There will be a riot if that jerk were to come here. IT WON'T HAPPEN!

You go ahead and snuggle up with your pride.

Tubby wins and he doesnt cheat. Attitude? Yeah, he's got it. If you can't deal with his personality, then oh well.

You can have wins and pride and I think he does both. Get over yourselves.....then again, maybe you are happy with the days of 7-4 and the Indy Bowl.

I would love to have Tubby here if Miles leaves.

He recruits, runs a clean program, is always well prepared, teams play hard, teams are aggressive

maybe some of us dont hate him that much...I personally hate Meyer WAY more than tubbs. I think Tubby is a great coach and I actually thought the cigar thing was kind of funny in a pissed off kind of way. Put it this way...if he smoked a cigar on UF's field...I'd frickING LOVE IT.

most of the head coaches have attitudes already, i don't see why it should matter. you could say something about every coach out there.
