Who will Texas hire after this season, now that Horns lost to West Virginia?

Looks like if there was any doubt, Strong is most likely gone after this season.
They are probably interested in Herman, but are there other coaches as well who might have a shot?

I am sure most anyone on lsu's list is on theirs, minus Orgeron. I am still not sold he is getting fired just yet. I think if he goes 7-5 and wins a bowl he will stay. Just my opinion though. No sources.

Art Briles will not be on the list of any major university until the proceedings at Baylor are concluded and he is cleared. Most likely, he will never have a job at a Power 5 school, especially a state university, again.

As I was told by someone high up in the pecking order in the booster group at UT, Herman is their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices to become the next HC at Texas and they are going to open the checkbook he just needs to fill it in.

I still don't get all the love for Herman. He is at a program that Briles and Sumlin built and both of them had better offensive numbers than herman.

I hope you are right. Herman is Sumlin 2.0. Winner at Houston and probably good enough to win 8 or 9 games in a major conference.

I will be very surprised if Herman is not coaching Texas next year. I think the Horns are only considering him or the fallback is to let Strong have one more year.
