He has 15 million coming form LSU. I would make appearances on ESPN several times a year and buy a fishing yacht. I think Les likes to saltwater fish.

I could really see him at BaMA when Sabin leaves for Texas. Especially after reading so many glowing reviews regarding Les as a great coach from the Bama fans

He would have been retiring in a year or two anyway. He's coached his last football game. He'll be replacing Corso on College Gameday next year.

I'm still not sure how all this will shake out, but I've had this feeling that if it does happen, Jimbo will back out at the last minute.

I would love Jimbo as our HC, but I have this terrible fear that if we can't get him, the admin will bring in Patterson. I think he would be a total flop, and the idea of bringing in a Saban wannabe to try to outSaban Saban would be an absolute and utter failure.

To the point of this thread, though, I would see Miles being an absolute great fit at TCU if Patterson moved on. It would be a really interesting scenario to watch play out.

I would bet that Miles would clean up that grimy program, recruit the hell out of TX, LA, and OK, and be a thorn in the sides of this program for years as Patterson gets LSU into trouble, and continues to get beat by Alabama in much more embarrassing fashion than we have been.

It would be an unmitigated disaster for LSU and everyone that helped to bring this on.

I think if there was an opening and the timing worked out, Les may be their first choice. The connection to ESPN would be a major force to bring him there as he would be great for publicity. Obviously his recruiting history in LA TX and OK make him perfect for the job.

That said, I don't think they push Strong out to make that move right now.

Now, if Strong heads to UM and Les is available, it could very well happen.

If Les sits out a year and Strong fails again and they decide to cut ties, it would become even more likely imo.

Don't count on him to go job-searching right away. He might take a year (or two) off. I would. This post was edited on 11/27 at 9:05 a

1. He doesn't have to search. He probably already has several offers on the table.

2. Les is a pure football coach. It's what he is, he's not taking any time off.

Georgia would be better.

You obviously don't live in Georgia.
Miles would be Mark Richt reincarnated. No way that's happening.

If Richt loses to Ga Tech, UGA would take Miles in a heartbeat.

I would be surprised if you had an IQ over fifty. Miles wins the off season and don't doubt big programs don't notice and desire that. Recruiting is much more important than in game management.
