When do we see our first hire?

I takes a minute. He has to put his board together and talk to the assistants at LSU to see who he might want to keep.

I’m still cautiously optimistic about the hire myself but this is just stupid. The guy pulled Marcus Freeman last year who was the hottest assistant coach in the country last year that everybody with an opening wanted.

Houston DC Doug Belk
UGA co-DC Glenn Schumann
The entire USC staff becomes available after Saturday — Donte Williams, Graham Harrell
These are just some names/situations off the top of my head. I’m sure there are other Brian Kelly connections out there that I don’t know about
Kelly needs coordinators before he hires position coaches

Yea and he had accepted or been in the bag for a while like many of you think and not a quick rushed decision we'd have hires already even after his coordiantors said no.

I know you're pretty reactionary, but do you really believe he would have been coaching Notre Dame and interviewing assistant coaches for his move to LSU during the season?
Y'all are placing way too much importance on these hires getting done on some imaginary accelerated timeline you've made up in your heads.
The remaining LSU coaches who don't take other jobs now are the ones who are going to be majority of the recruiting through ESD. The assistant coaching hires probably start happening at the end of December and into January.

If LSU wasn't making him give speeches at basketball games, taking photo shoots, and making hype videos; he might be further along in the process.

It's partially the truth, but this board is going downvote anyone who isn't on the Kelly Geriatric Express.
Mike Sanford was just fired by Minnesota, so my guess is he joins the staff with Jeff Quinn and Frank Wilson on the offensive side.
All 3 were terrible head coaches and Wilson did an especially horrendous job at UTSA and I can tell you their admin was glad to get rid of him. Great recruiter. Huge ego though.
Kelly ghosted everyone on the way out and pissed off his own assistants. There's a reason none of the young Notre Dame assistants want to join him at LSU. His only hires have been his admin assistant and his son who is a sweet kid but he's on the spectrum.
