To me people are overreacting, our Offense has looked much better, since he took over for Cameron

Guice and Fournwette broke off a bunch of huge runs against some of the worst run defenses we've seen in the conference in years that was the main difference ... against teams with Quality defenses it was the same ole..

This is the type of person that you're generally trying to reason with or get a point across to on this board. Don't blame it on autocorrect, either.

I would say that he has never been a highly rated and successful OC, but, that argument didn't matter when hiring O as the HC.

Does Ensminger at OC help win a championship? Because that's what LSU said it wanted by firing Miles...if your answer is no, then that's what's wrong with Ensminger.

Nothing wrong with him but if you have the money and the chance to bring in a known and big name like Kiffin then it also helps with recruiting.

O and Ensminger brought a full blown Les Miles Offense to the Bama game, and somehow expected that to have a chance of winning...even though they have watched it fail over and over again since 2011.

He doesn't get a pass just because Aranda's defense held Bama to 10 points.

Ensminger has been an OC before and not all that successful. and he's not an accomplished teacher of the spread offense.

but my HUGE problem with hiring him as OC is the Bama game. the entire offense, players and coaches, laid an egg. every coach knows that to beat bama, you have to spread 'em out and throw the ball.

the florida game was lost due to miscues by the players. I don't blame Ensminger for that.

I don't know if this is like a tongue in cheek post about the O hiring process but the answer is the Bama game.

C- hire. Orgeron needs an A. No substitute for a home run hire.

Do I want to hire CSE as our OC? No.

Do I think we can do better? Yes.

That said, Ensminger has gotten laughed at on this board for years. Ensminger has a been a joke on this board for YEARS!

It was only after he got the OC job this year that I looked at his resume. And guess what it isn't horrible. He did a good job as OC in the past.

So IF for some strange reason we end up with SE as OC next season, I for one, believe we will be fine. Maybe not as good as some other hot shot OC, but probably not so much of a fall off that people are calling for his head.

He's not the best OC out there. What is scary though is he took Miles' offense and pretty much doubled the yardage overnight. I guarantee you no matter who we hire the first time he can't put up yards the board will want everyone fired. Then let Aranda give up yards like he did against TAMU. He won't have Beckwith next year. Everyone will want him fired too.

Ensminger is a nice guy. That seems to be the main thing we look for in a head coach

Just because Ensminger is better than Cameron

Well neither had an off-season to retool the offense without any interference. Cameron knows football, but when your boss pays you a lot of money and tells you what to do, you do it. Ensminger took the les miles offense, used more of the playbook, and the offense was slightly more cohesive.

Should be make either one OC? No, but they're not the worst options available. We should throw a fat check at Lincoln Riley.
