And does great next year. Will anyone accept him? I know it's highly unlikely we will even win the SEC but anything could happen. Geaux Tigers.

I'll eat crow, but with what we are losing and the schedule that old Joe gave us next year. I would be ecstatic with 8-4

That would be a HUGE surprise. More likely he'll only lose 3 or 4 next season and idiots will say "Wait til next year!"

We've seen many times in the past that a coach can do well in his first year or 2 and then everything falls apart. The 3-4 year test is what counts (if he makes it that long)

Winning cures everything. Fans look past rape, rape of children, and crashing motorcycles with your mistress on the back because of winning. It's the only thing that matters in sports.

That would be great but it won't change the fact that we hired him mainly because he was the easy hire. I guess gone are the days of getting a hiring firm and actually going through an educated process.

I fully expect next year to be ok, probably a miles year of 8-4 or so.
I also fully expect the program to quickly fall off the map. I think we'll be .500 in 2 years.
Hiring a Head Coach isn't about next year, it's about long term commitment and plan to build a program.

I expected next year to be tough no matter who was the coach. Got most offense back but defense will have a lot of new players

So we fired a coach because he was heading for 8-4 every year and hired a guy who might not be able to get to 8-4.
