Isn't his son sick and goes to hospitals in Seattle? That's why he left Boise for Washington. He didn't want to be far from that area.

I guess Michigan State should have asked had anyone won after they left Toledo before they hired Saban. Or Utah should have nixed hiring Urban Meyer since nobody had really tore it up after leaving Bowling Green...

Same can be said for every team that has hired a Boise State coach, they've all failed after leaving Boise.

So what?

Nick Saban was a MidWest - Big 10 guy and Skip Bertman was from Miami.

Please explain it so that even I can understand what difference it necessarily makes.

Meaning that's his home and he isn't leaving.

So, if a program has coaches that don't do anything after they leave, does that automatically exclude all future coaches that come through that program? That makes no sense whatsoever...

Considering Petersen is failing at Washington, LSU might as well go after Charlie Strong.
He will lose next week to finish 5-7 this season and probably looking at 6 wins next year.

And Strong is currently turning that program around as well. Interested, since you shoot down so many options, who are your choices as a replacement?

Hermann at UH.... coached under Urban, great recruiter, won a NC as an OC, showing he can manage a team like Houston.

Only coach worth getting this year imo...

LSU is not getting a Dabo, Jimbo, Dantoni...

Next year maybe a Chip Kelly....

Now, using your own argument, he doesn't play anyone. Cupcake schedule. And has only been a HC for one year...

But that doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good coach at his next gig. I do like Tom Herman. And I also like the fact that he is young. That, to me, is a factor that really needs to be taken into consideration.

UW will probably be favored over WSU.

Petersen decided to blow up Sark's program and build from scratch. Sark left some giant holes on the roster and this was the best way to go. Bad for the short term, but good for the long term. This was always going to be a big rebuilding year with a ton of 1st and 2nd year players starting. I think UW is the youngest team in college football. There are some excellent signs for the future with one of the top defenses in CFB that's filled with Freshmen and Sophomores.

Next year should be around 7-8 wins and 2017 should be a 10+ win season.

Always interesting to see outside perspective on the program. Some people have a good grasp of what's going on and some are completely clueless.

Yep

I'm in the general vicinity but now live in WA. Got tired of paying income tax to be an Oregonian.
