What does Coach O have to do to win you over

And let's assume Herman says no and not an option
A. Nothing he can do will win me over, not HC material
B. Run the table and win SEC
C. At worst 6-2, team improved, offensive play improved as season went on
D. Love Coach O, record doesn't matter, offense play was much improved, recruiting is top notch, and defensive staff is staying
I probably choose C, and even 5-3 if those losses are close and the team looks organized and inspired.

I still want to make runs at the "big fish". But, IF he does "C", I will be content to NOT make a different "reach" hire.
I'd want to pay what it takes to get a top OC in here and not pay O the top dollar that the big names would require.

I think he needs to beat Bama and then only lose one other game. So I agree 7-1 with a Bammer win and he's in

Anything less and he's a Bill Stewart disaster waiting to happen IMO. He may still be if he wins out, but a 10-0 record with an SECC would empirically demand a permanent shot for him.

At least 6-2. Ole Miss and Arkansas definitely shouldn't be beating us on a regular basis and if he loses one of those he's lost me.

He has to be the best available option. It's just that simple.
The man can recruit. He did a good job at USC. If he does an excellent job at LSU and other coaches turn the job down, he might become the best available option.
If he's the best available coach, he's the best available coach.

What he can do to win me over is to use his formidable skills and passion to help recruit a qualified HC to LSU
