O didn’t turn him loose. An analyst had to tell them both to start blitzing.

? The quote O gave was that Kiffin let them know after the Ole Miss game that they were very vanilla on D.

I assumed it wasn't a favor to O, it was to give us a chance to beat Bama to help Ole Miss win the west for once.

Ask yourself this: "If Jones was dismissed today, who would be the defensive play caller for the bowl game?"

Possible answers:

A) A new DC hire who has no experience with the defense the players know.

B) A new DC hire who tries to implement his defense in less than 60 hours of football activity (20 hrs per week, no more than 4 hrs. per day). Football activity is defined as practice, meetings and film study.

C) Someone presently on staff who has not had this responsibility all year.

D) Stand pat and proceed with DC hire after bowl game.

Which of the above would most likely have the best outcome?

Go back and listen to the press conferences after Bama. He specifically credits one of the analysts for coming to them with the zero blitz idea.

Can you prove this with some sort of link? Or are you just saying things that you have no idea about?

You are ignorant to think it was Darontes fault the 1st half of the year. O got out of his own way. Before the season he specifically stated he was going to be much more involved with the defense and play calling. O threw Aranda under the bus for gods sake when he was here. To think an that an NFL coach took 8 games to realize he was playing base and never blitzing because an analyst told him is absurd. O’s stubbornness heals us back because he resorted to his Ole Miss days. You saw Daronte’s D from Bama on

Other team have hire there oc and dc and they are in bowl games. It seems we have went after people throughout this process and they chose other team or stayed put.
Just guessing but Libby, Write, and other but we are still floundering a little here.
Unless we have guys lined up that are in the playoff.

think it through. lane said what he said. then they started scheming and an analyst drew up a good one.

I love the ‘illiterate shrimp boat captain is a defensive genius’ CCB energy.

Now we’re just taking O’s press conference statements as if they’re gospel after a full 2 years of hearing how ‘the 2020 defense is better than 2019’

This bowl game means absolutely nothing win or lose it doesn’t mean anything. There are some meaningful snaps for players but it doesn’t really matter who calls the defense.
