He's used to Baton Rouge. He loves Louisiana. He loves LSU. He's a great recruiter. He will bring us more and more NC trophies years to come :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

Hell no! He sold us out and ruined Christmas. How are you going to announce to your team that you are leaving them before the Peach Bowl? Miles on the opther hand is showing signs of honor. He can go to Michigan with my blessing and no hard feelings. He is focused on his team even though its his dream to go to Michigan, and has made no statements that I know of, of abandoning his current team. I want Spurrier.

Saban was in a lose-lose situation. After winning a national championship, he had new oppurtunity in the NFL, which offered a whole new game and a whole new salarly to our past coach. After realizing the NFL was not for him, coming back to college was his only choice. He would have come to LSU, but since there were no job openings, he went to Bama to stya in the SEC.

2 reasons to have a reasonable hatred towards him:

1) he went to our half-assed rival Alabama. Guys, this isn't like Jim Tressel going to Michigan here. Alabama is just like another SEC team.

2)his coon-arse comment. That right there pissed me off, but that can be forgiven with some serious apologizing.

If this did happen, it would be a serious love/hate relationship with the fans, that could be a big distraction. Face it, we would never fully trust him again. It's like taking back an ex wife who cheated with someone because they had "more to offer".

Then there's me, I wouldn't want him back personally because I think he's a below average game day coach who benefited from a very strong Louisiana recruiting year that included Marcus Spears, Michael Clayton, Marquis Hill, ect.

Can't recruit OFFENSIVE LINEMEN worth a shite. Probably too much baggage now, but I'd take him back with Crowton as the OC and Studrawra as the OL coach. At least he doesn't sound like he's fallen off the back of a turnip truck......

I don't think he leaves Bama, and I don't think Skip and Nick get along these days.
A new AD will have to be at LSU before LSU would see Saban back as a Tiger.

All Saban would have to do is apologize for what he did and say that he's finally come back home and tiger fans would assume the position and treat him like a king again.

Please tell me you are just stirring up shite. Do you really think that:

1. LSU would even consider Saban now?
2. LSU would match or better his $4M?
3. Saban would consider taking a pay cut?
4. Saban's ego would even consider it?

Please.

He lost to ULM. He will never return to Baton Rouge except next November as the HC of Alabama.

God I hope your wrong.

But about Saban, I think that Alabama could be in serious trouble here with the text books.. If so Saban wont stay.

That would be the only reason I would want him to return to Baton Rouge. That would be really funny, but only for about 30 seconds. Then what?
