It was pretty wild seeing those folks saying it was a done deal. They really gave UT a black eye

That's like asking if Lindsey Lohan was a train wreck...or if Lou Holtz had a speech impediment...or if Mark May blew 5 guys at Pitt...

Well if we ever got to the negotiation phase, they may very well have been right. No one counted on Mack Brown being retained.

The Board of Regents was never on the same page as the boosters. That was the problem. This should've been more focused on handling Mack Brown departure more discreetly and with more class. Instead it became all about Saban.

To arrogant is the mo at Texass they have been this way forever. If you really look at all the shite that was said during this oast week and multiply it by 1000000 then maybe y'all will understand why we Aggies are so defensive(not on the field of course)and post some of the shite about having money etc that we do. It's an automatic rresponse conditioned into us that I hope we outgrow now that we have left them.

Too inept is more like it. Had mack's removal happened in a timely, professional, non circus manner the situation may have played out differently.

your average Texas type thinks the sun rises and sets in Texas....

as much as I wanted lil nicky to jump into that political cesspool, this is probably more damaging to them as a program in the long run...

Let's compare R.C. Slocum's last 4 years to Mack Brown's last four years:

Slocum

1999 (coming off of 11-3 and Big 12 title): 8-4 (4-4)
2000: 7-5 (5-3)
2001: 8-4 (4-4)
2002: 6-6 (3-5)

Total W/L Record: 29-19 (17-15)

Brown

2010: 5-7 (2-6)
2011: 8-5 (4-5)
2012: 9-4 (5-4)
2013: 8-4 (7-2)

Total W/L Record: 30-20 (18-17)

Yes they did but I also think they're looking to reel in a blue marlin on a push button Zebco. Saban was never going to get involved in that shite show.

I have seen people try to do that w halibut in the Kachemak Bay on numerous occasions, but I have never seen it work.

The fans disgust and hatred for Mack Brown fueled a fire for him to come back. Talk about a backfire.
