And in the last decade, you've bottomed out, fired a coach a year after a national title, flirted with a losing season last year, and got to the doorstep of firing your current guy. To say your guys have had peaks and valleys isn't an understatement.
My comment was a backhanded way of saying your fanbase has experience seeing the team bounce back from disaster, and maybe keeps things in perspective a little better. I'll be the first to admit that LSU fans are pretty spoiled with success over the last 15 years.

Trying to keep him. UF may be to tough to hold off this time. They are offering Co-DC or RC with lot of money. We are fighting to keep him. I worried about FKing on this one intervening. He is already on the record about not paying "punting" coaches a million. I know it was sarcasm but statement reveals true meaning.
LSU has saved about 2.5 million by hiring O and Canada 700/800k (Kiffin deal was 1.9/2 million) we should be able to pay him. I'd make him RC/ Pass Coverage Coordinator or some BS title to justify pay.
I think Ole Butter Mouth believes his teeth are really gold.
I briefly spoke about shadow stafff and I will say this LSU plans to spend on this to rival Bama.
Topic of Sark coming here: It will depend on if Bama gives him OC or if he goes with Kiffin. Kiffin and Sark are close and is the only reason he is at Bama now. O will attempt to get Sark here in some capacity. Worst case we could double his current Bama pay easily! 60k lol

When recruiting, and then Kiffin started going south. Ed got an arse chewing. I can only assume DP saw Canadas name on TD, because he wasn't in the binder as a back-up. In fact, Sark was the only back-up in the binder (for the same reasons as Kiffin). Because on Nov 25th, no one around here was thinking of Canada as the best OC in the country. The Broyles finalists weren't even announced until 11/29.
