you left out the biggest reason.

saban likes to build/rebuild college football programs not maintain success. he loves going into an apathetic situation and changing the culture to a winning culture. this has been what has driven him for the last decade plus and i don't buy that all of a sudden he wants to settle down, stay in one place and maintain a consistent level of success for 20 years.

if you think Bama has nearly as much money as Notre Dame you're simply psychotic.

10) Saban's wife hates living in Tuscaloosa

That's complete bullshite. A majority of you don't live anywhere near Tuscaloosa or have any ties to the Sabans. How the hell can you determine that she hates it?

9) Saban is Catholic

I'm Catholic too. And I still hate Notre Dame.

7) As long as Urban Myer is coaching Florida, Alabama can't win a national title because they can't get past the SEC Championship Game.

Let's wait and see how he does without Timmy.

6) Bama will soon be on probation......again.

No, we won't.

5) Nationwide recruiting base

Nick already has that at Alabama. Kids are begging to come here.

3) Every Game is televised Nationally

I don't think Nick cares about every game being nationally televised. As long as we keep winning, I don't think he cares who the hell is watching.

2) He would no longer have to coach in the shadow of Bear Bryant and could create his own legacy at Notre Dame.

Nick Saban is already going to be a legacy at Alabama. Just wait until we win the National Championship this year.

1) Saban would become the highest paid college football coach in America surpassing Pete Carroll and Urban Myer.

Didn't he take a paycut to come to Alabama

I could see Saban wanting to get away from the SEC and his rivalry with LSU. He's 2-1 against Miles, so it's not like he'd be leaving town with a black eye. Plus, ND is a MUCH easier route to the MNC than going through the meat grinder of the SEC.

you act like people on this board might not have friends who were former players or have friends who were connected to the problem

just bc you dont live in t-town doesnt mean you have no idea about the situation

Meeting w/Sexton was to take place today from what I understand to share interest and have feedback on opening.

I will say I had to chuckle when I read above the post about "he would be crazy to leave... he's got everything....". Wow, this is Nick we are talking about here.

And the Gumps have also forgotten about lies and deception. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

"I am NOT going to be the coach of Alabama." Do you think Teri Saban is going to admit to the T-towners that she hates it there?

Brother.

He would be crazy to leave Alabama. He has everything he needs there, and in only his third year, he still doesn't have all his guys in yet. Why would he want to start the process all over? However, I would be ecstatic to see him get the hell out of the SEC!!

He wouldn't have to recruit against Auburn, plus ND could pay him 10 mil a year. Since ND keeps all the BCS payout, they could afford to pay Saban a ridiculous amount of money, unlike Alabama that has to share their payout with the rest of the SEC.

Saban job-hopping is not a joke but a matter of public record.

We said the same thing @ LSU. ND could pay more money than Alabama will ever be able to afford. All of the BCS revenue goes to ND, while Alabama shares their payoff with the rest of the SEC.
