This is true. If I tell where I got it confirmed I'll never get information again so I'm not going to reveal my "sauces" hahah. Herman is ours if we want him. Texas fudged up and Fisher is staying.

That's understandable for Jimbo to feel that way.
However, if you're Alleva and you've gone this far, you say,
"Jimbo, if we take care of your contract obligation for Pruitt's salary, will you commit to LSU and Dave Aranda as your DC?"
Assuming you don't already have Herman committed.
My point is, when you've come this far on a huge deal, you don't let the last hurdle stop you.

Jimbo knows this will probably be Aranda's last year and he knows Pruitt won't leave to be a head coach or a nfl defensive coordinator.
