I don't want the kissing bandit as my LSU coach.

He is a good mid-major coach and a good OC. Nothing more.

I don't get the love for a little league coach who has coached a whole 1 1/2 years. People say "well look at his whole portfolio". I'm like the last chapter of his "whole portfolio" has been a fricking horror movie.

It's hard to motivate a team when they know you're gone, they aren't going to the Big12, and they aren't playing for anything relevant anymore.

There is no more wind in their sails anymore.

Well aren't I supposed to look at the coach's entire body of work?

This guy's body is starting to look a lot like George Costanza.

Yeah it's going to be funny if he has 4 or more losses this year. He is definitely a gamble for a big school like LSU or Texas. He may wind up great but could easily flame out.

Before the skid started they were undefeated and ranked #6 in the country. Is a shot at an undefeated season, the playoffs and a possible national championship not enough motivation to play well against Navy, Tulsa and SMU?

If not frick their coach and team. THEY ALL SUCK !!!

it depends. if its your guy then no - the entire body of work doesn't matter. the bad is explained away and the good is the most representative of his coaching ability.

Oh I get it. We have to ignore 35 games of Coach Os history, but can't ignore 1 game in Hermans. Sounds fair

Coach O has four national championship rings under three different coaches. He gets no credit for that, so.............

Dude being a Dline coach is probably the easiest position coach to be.

Maybe that's why he is also the recruiting coordinator. Hell, for two national titles at USC he was associate head coach, D-Line and recruiting coordinator.

The waterboys for those teams got rings too. Your point is invalid

And they deserve it. They were part of the program that won national championships.

coach O was:
1998–2004 USC (AHC/DL/RC)

If you need help with the abbreviations let me know and I can tell you what they mean.
