We were all shaking in our boots at the thought of a newly focused UGA, a redirected USCe, a resurrected Mizzou and a balls out LSU.

Nothing to see here, come to find out.

Georgia hit a home run in my opinion.

Amazing that UVA hired a better coach than SEC schools.

What's insane is all of the inept SEC East offensive teams went with DC as their head coach. This will not end well.

Time will tell but no way right now it is more than a double.

Saban was a home run. Richt for the U. No way this qualifies as that.

yea it has been a pretty weak year for the sec. A coach that has no hc experience looks like the best hire.

the ACC is kicking arse picking up new coaches.

What coach wants to come to a conference with unrealistic expectations from every fan base out there minus vandy and Kentucky. We have done it to ourselves. We beat each other up week in and week out on the field. Then fire coaches who have .700 winning percentages. Why would you want that type of pressure?

It all goes in circles. The sec is about to be down minus Alabama IMO.

Historically the best want to beat the best. The sec is the best conf. It is why college coaches give up the security of a proven track record of success to test the nfl waters.

Exactly! A good coach make a few mill at a school in another conf where the fanbase won't be calling for his head if he doesn't win 10-11 games a year. The expectations in the SEC are almost unrealistic. It's not worth it.

I think you're completly wrong. Any coach that doesn't have a competitive spirit and doesn't want a challenge won't survive long as a coach. Every coach has to believe they are the greatest and should want to test their merit against the toughest competition

I think that's blown way out of proportion. It's not like Smart is calling the plays on offense. If he brings in a good offensive mind like Helton or Meacham, we won't have issues scoring points

People need to stop hiring Saban assistants. It won't work long term. Only a couple of Bryant assistants turned out decent and a handful were terrible. None won a natty. History repeating in a not so good way.

So Smart is going to hire USC's head coach as an OC? This I want to see.
