I agree with Norvell, but also believe Kiffin would kill it at Bama. Sark is also a no miss coach. I hope Bama hires Lanning because he is more of a mystery IMO.

Norvell would be my #1 at Bama anyway. Plays defense and has recruiting ties in FL.

Meh, he’s just the flavor of the month hot name. A Tom Herman type coach. He’ll fizzle next year and the year after.

Novell makes a lot of sense especially with him being stranded in an irrelevant football conference.

I think it is the most practical hire they could make. I feel like threads like this somehow tend to be what happens. I hope not though. Not that I am afraid of Norvell at Bama, but I do believe he would be a solid hire. I’d like to see this search go on a while. This is fun.

This guy is a very good recruiter, players love him, and he has an excellent football mind.
Hopefully, your reverse psychology will work on the gumps and they hire him. He was humiliated against UGA.

I’d be curious how many coaches have lost by 60 and then how many of them went on to be elite level.

Norvell had Jordan Travis for 4 years at FSU. The offense literally fell apart without Jordan, this is why they didnt make the playoffs. Thats entirely on Norvell for not having even a shadow of a backup plan. He had 4 years to get somebody ready to take over for Travis and the best he could do was Tate Rodemaker, who is now in the transfer portal. Was Norvell that great of a coach or did he just happen to have a good senior playmaker at the right position? How good was Bellicheck without Brady?
In any event, FSU is going to be a dumpster fire next year with or without Norvell, and thats on Norvell.

Could not disagree more. I think he makes terrible decisions that have cost his team several games, and would be very happy if he went to Bama.
