It's speculated that Miles will be receptive to coaching changes among the staff, one of the reasons he was kept on.

LSU administration refused to omit this clause in the contract of one of the best defensive coordinators in the country, should we expect them to do the same for a potential new offensive coordinator?

The search for a new offensive coordinator is going to be quite interesting, and with TLMC in the contract, could end in considerable disappointment.

The Les Miles Clause:
quote:

Chavis, the suit says, refused to sign his new contract because of the clause, which “would allow LSU to terminate Chavis’ employment in the event Les Miles’ employment (is) terminated with LSU.”

What are you talking about? Les Miles thought he was fired until the moment he walked off the field last night. He didn't agree to anything.

Kirk Herbstreit said to keep Les, so by God we are going to keep him. Nobody tells a great man like Les Miles what to do.

It's interesting because Les has the genetic makeup of the best possible hands-off CEO coach you could want. PR, recruiting, TV. A much more talented Mack Brown.

But I don't think he'd allow himself to become that.

If we don't hire an OC that runs an up tempo offense I am going to convert and become a Tulane fan. It has to less stressful.

Hey, I know Joe Schad. He's the guy that convinced ESPN to carry Lunch with Les live on ESPN2 because Les Miles was announcing his resignation. I definitely trust what Schad says. He knows his stuff.

Hopefully with the buyout lowering each year they will be more receptive to guaranteeing the coordinator contracts.

No. He still stinks as a coach just like his offense.
