Just thinking not much has been said about Jimbo to LSU in the media, from insiders, or analysts. I feel like it's gonna end up being Jimbo. All the other media pumps are likely to distract and keep it quiet.

Just pure speculation on my part, but I feel like he would be the "safe hire" Alleva wants to make sure he keeps his job for a while longer.

I think that's a completely fair assessment. It's the best hire on paper...besides maybe chip.

If he keeps aranda I think we would compete for NCs as early as next year.

Who on offense do we lose besides lf7? I know on D we have white, adams, beckwith...any others i missed?

I feel like if we would have started the year with jimbo we may be competing for a natty this year.

I think jimbo gets the edge due to his ties in Louisiana and the fact he is one of the best recruiters in the country.

Dural and pocic most likely.

Jefferson? Godchaux, Riley?

No offense to those last 3, but we can replace with talent. I also feel pretty good with D white stepping in at MLB. You don't replace Adams easily.

Hell yeah. I think he's gonna do great! I think you're probably right then a jimbo hire or similar caliber coach could have us in the race next year, assuming aranda is retained. If he goes, i am not so sure.

I also feel like it's jimbo. It's quiet but there's gotta be mutual interest. I would say jimbo is one of the best coaches in the nation and he fits LSU like a glove. We'd be crazy not to get him.

Agreed.even if jimbo gets a good DC, that'll be the 3rd DC in 3 years. This kids minds are gonna explode.

Jimbo could make etling, dupre, and guice all americans

Jimbo has a whole off season with Etling and guice remains being his great self...jfc...that has so much potential.

I mean if Ensminger can do this much in 3 games imagine what jimbo the QB whisperer could accomplish in an entire off season.

unlikely that we compete that highly next year with the losses we are going to have. but if he can keep Aranda I think we will be a solid team with the chance of improving greatly in the future if the recruiting stays healthy.

I agree on Jimbo. He's the most logical choice. He's really the only one I see hitting the ground running. Everyone else will have growing pains here. I also see him as capable of attracting quality staff and should have no issues with recruiting. I think he will take our current offense depending on the OC and not overhaul it, but just make it more efficient. That's what I want. Pro style offense with pro style QB with enough variation to keep the opponents off balance.

If Jimbo goes there I wouldn't expect a great offense in year 1. It seems to take a year for players to learn his beloved system.
Wr's have been an issue also. FSU has had quite a few busts under him.

I really think this is what we are down to. O runs the table or maybe 1 loss and they give it to him (right or wrong)...otherwise Jimbo is the man.
I would imagine Jimbo told Alleva that if anything comes out he's out so Alleva tells no one.

Yeah, crazy how anyone could not get excited about a guy who just let his top 5 recruiting classes get pushed around by Wake Forest. Jimbo is a solid coach but you guys act like he walks on water.

Jimbo would be a huge mistake. He is more similar to miles than most people think. He has a system and he has not evolved it. He doesn't really change with the times. I'm skeptical he would win big here.
