I don't think the silence necessarily means anything. I imagine alleva sent out feelers to Jimbo and sexton and Jimbo knows he's wanted here. He was the guy last year and I don't think Herman or fsu's current season changes that. He would be good for LSU.

The way he has talked about the RPO makes me really nervous. He came across as a guy who would much rather take his ball and go home than ever adapt his system to a changing landscape.

You may have a point. Kind of reminds me of saban complaining about HUNH offenses though.

You stayed up late last night waiting for me??? OK. I apologize i dont have that much infatuation with you. See i read your post, but ultimately realized this is a pointless circle of a conversation with a troll. Therefore, i decided not to respond. If you can't objectively lok at all the coaches available then there is no point discussing things with you. Hell, you can't even give me your top 3 coaches. If you have no opinion on who should be hired then OK. Just stop commenting. You can keep chasing me around the boards if you like, but just know i will not be responding to you anymore. I am done with you and your troll toll.

Have a good one!

It feels like a decline. This goes back to 2014 when that team didn't listen to him. I think Jimbo is a good coach, but he may have a short shelf life at one place.

So you mean an overall decline, or just that he is done with FSU. I guess the question i am really asking is, if he ends up at LSU, would you expect in to rebound or just decline further, in your opinion.

More like you are getting tired of being made a fool. Emotional opinionated posts just will not hold up to factual posts. Remember that and responses to other people's posts in the future will be possible.

I don't blame you for not responding, there was just no where to go with that. It must be pretty bad when you are that deep and suddenly realize just how wrong you are and how bad you look.

A decline in him being at FSU for 7 seasons and talk about "the process" gets old with players. A change may be good for both parties.

If he leaves he still needs to make changes in how he runs his offense. Bama would still have a big advantage, because he isn't even close to being on Saban's level.

Interesting. I think i would still want over, coach o, though.

I see alleva hiring jimbo because he's the safest big name potentially available. Definitely wouldn't be mad at it, but i do see your point on the risk side.

can we just go ahead and make a list that's on Saban's level?

You first.

The other guy specifically asked him how he thought Jimbo would do at LSU.

Jimbo would have to play Saban at least until he retires.

It's a fair comment. You more or less know what you're getting with Jimbo, low risk low reward.

He's preparing for a pretty big game this weekend. Depending on how that goes will likely determine how much or little you hear his name associated with any place other than FSU for the next few weeks, I would bet.

You think low reward? I think Jimbo can compete with the best coaches currently out there. Does he win them all? Not likely, but then again who does?

Just curious what you mean when you say "low reward".

In my opinion, Jimbo is a coach who will keep us relevant but he's shown you that he isn't elite. He will compete for the west every few years and he'll have his 3-4 loss years depending on talent and coordinators. That's not bad, it just sorta is what it is. Herman, Fuentes, insert up and comer here, are much bigger risks but they could potentially be the next great coach who will challenge Saban.

I agree. I just wonder if Alleva is willing to take that risk. Especially when there are several of these guys out there. Herman is the front runner, but from the ADs point of view he would not only have to assume one of them will be great but also which one. I don't see Alleva being that ballsy, but i could be wrong. I like the high risk high reward higher, but it won't be me getting fired if he turns out to be a bust.

Eta: out of all the up and comers in the coaching carousel which one do you think would give LSU the best opportunity to win long term, if Alleva were ballsy enough to go that route.
