Texas isn't making any friends with the way they're handling Strong...

It's widely believed he's been fired, but apparently the school hasn't notified him.
This stuff doesn't go over well in coaching circles.
I say ride for Herman because Herman >>>>> Fisher. Herman made QB "guru" Fisher look ridiculous last year while at Houston.

$8m a year can buy the only friend they want.

... I don't think firing Les Miles after the Auburn games went over, either.
Money and the potential for greatness go over very well in coaching circles, however, which is why Texas and LSU will still get great talent despite "poor etiquette" with their outbound coaches.

Hell, the way y'all treated Les Miles is disgusting. Especially last year with that laughable charade during the A&M game. Y'all looked like a bunch of bumbling idiots.
Mack Brown gummed up the Saban hiring by pitching a fit and getting a bigger buyout by threatening a lawsuit (all true), but Les Miles was class all the way to the very end with LSU. Shameful.

They tried to notify him, but his voicemail was full from all the death threats from the Texas fans.

Because We respected Les Miles as a fan base....lsu's administration was the beef.
The fans gave Les 20 chances.....he was endeared by the people.

The way you libs riot in the streets after Trump wins is disgusting. Bunch of rainbow flag waving t-sips

I've never voted for a Democrat in my life.

Typical arrogant Sip...

That's good. I just can't stand the majority of t-sip tee shirt students Austin has. They are cry babies and weird as all get out. I guarantee you those same protesting trump will turn the Charlie Strong firing into something racist, when in fact race has nothing to do with it...he lost to Kansas lol

Your "tigah" brethren has already beaten them to the punch.

David McWilliams got five seasons.
He was 16-18 after year 3. McWilliams was 17-19 after his first 36 games.
John Mackovic got six seasons.
He was 19-14-1 after year 3.

I schooled you on this earlier today. McWilliams won a conference title in year four and won a bowl game in his first season. Mackovic won three conference titles, including the last SWC title and the first Big 12 title. Strong ... three losing seasons in a row?
Posted on 11/20/16 at 11:37 pm to texashorn
Yes, and McWilliams' only competition during that time was A&M and Arkansas.
Mackovic's SWC was so weak that his ONLY competition was A&M.
The Big 12 South pre-Stoops was a 2-team division.

Wait... aren't you the one who keeps saying the Big 12 is the worst football conference in the history of mankind? You are so full of hatred, venom -- and frankly -- shite.

No, I'm saying it's the reincarnation of the post-Arkansas SWC...which it absolutely is.
A regional conference with little national appeal more than 30 miles from each direction of I-35.

Meaning that the SWC that included Arkansas was tougher than the Big 12?
Good grief, David McWilliams played Arkansas every year. So which is it, Chief? Or Colonel?
Baylor went to several bowls in the late 80s/early 90s, as did the University of Houston.
You're a turncoat who is denying your entire history with the state of Texas, you fool.

Meaning that Mac-1 and Mac-2 both played in much weaker conferences than Strong did with similar results through their first three seasons, yet they were allowed year 4.

David McWilliams had already won a bowl game by year three. That's not comparable, you idiot.
I've been schooling you since you were logging on spewing aggy shite when you were about 12 years old on the old Go Big 12 boards sponsored by the Austin newspaper. You and Branding Iron are likely homosexual lovers by now.
