Can't really ask the UGA posters on their board, but wanted to see what the perceived job safety of Mark Richt is.

Was talking with a friend about this and we both agreed that the UGA issue should be very interesting to LSU fans. It's widely speculated, if not assumed, that Jimbo would probably jump if LSU offered. The problem is that LSU probably won't open up this year unless Miles goes 1-3 in November, and Richt has been on the ropes for the past month. But he actually has a chance to salvage a "respectable" 10-3 season with his most important player out and uncharacteristically awful QB play (with a pretty big QB recruit incoming next yr). But because Richt is still in trouble, it's a distinct possibility. UGA would be another great fit for him and a good opportunity, couldn't really blame him. So what's gonna happen with Richt?

LSU isn't going to be retarded and fire Les Miles. He won a national title for you guys. Let' him coach out his tenure. You guys have become obsessed over Bama dominating you. Do what Tom Osborne did at Nebraska after getting beat by Oklahoma for years straight and make some changes to schemes and then start to dominate Bama

Richt isn't getting fired at Georgia. There will come a day though that he will call it a career and do that other stuff he likes to do.

That's the problem, he can't.

Nothing is happening with Richt. There is a large portion of the fanbase who want him gone. The problem is he brings in tons of money to our school and they don't want to get rid of him.

Not a lock but Jimbo would definitely be in play. If LSU loses out it could get very interesting!

LSU fans are smoking crack if they think Jimbo is waiting for a call from LSU. Not say he doesn't end up at LSU, but the chances are probably sub 5-10%.

Your an idiot. Our assistant money pool is the highest in the nation. 2 million more a year than FSU to be exact. Next to Head coaches salary that is #2 on the list for level of importance.

Dude you need to check what your own guys are saying. LSU is a threat. No disrespect to your program, but I'm willing to bet Jimbo would come here if the timing and money make sense. I'm not going to lean on the whole inside sources thing entirely like a message board yoyo, but I have heard a couple things secondhand. Publicly, he has made his affinity for LA and LSU very clear.

I am 100% behind Jimbo at LSU but I keep seeing this around the rant and would like to know where.

It's the way they lost...

and Miles has had a pattern of this showing that he can't get over being a 9-3 club

No BCS victory since 2007....

going on 10 years brah....

that's not elite with highest paid staff in the country...

but have elite talent

everyone knows Miles is a great guy, very good recruiter below average game day coach...

he under achieves...even though it's the toughest league in the country

What else do you expect him to say to a reporter about the state after spending so long there? Money and timing couldn't be worse for trying to pull Jimbo from FSU.
