Coach said he would just like to be an offensive coordinator. Good solution for a potential short term position.

If you think Steve spurrier is going anywhere other than a golf course for the rest of your life
You're ..,
You're ....
You're ...
You're just not aware how much golf that dude plays

He lives an hour away from Augusta national and is a member.
He is not going anywhere but maybe SEC network studios in Charlotte.

I could see him maybe being brought in to be an offensive consultant but imo the game has passed him by too much for him to still be on the sidelines.

Haha it would be entertaining. I may call Joe and Les tomorrow so they can both screw this up.

I was thinking the same thing as I was typing about playing Augusta National. We could tell him there are some nice BREC courses in the area and let him play University Club LOL as opposed to Agusta.

You are probably 100% correct. Any change to Miles philosophy would be a 1000% improvement.

Let miles run the offense because that's what we are going to get anyway. Bring Spurrier in as QB coach.

Oh look, one of those dumb Coaching Changes threads.

He's never really developed quarterbacks either (surprisingly).

There are rumors that he's going to be the new OC at A&M. It wouldn't shock me. I'd be very, very pleased with that result.

hugh beat me to it

Hmmm...seems he's keeping his options open.

The Ol’ Ball Coach could return to South Carolina in the near future.
But not as the head football coach.
According to The State, Steve Spurrier is reportedly considering taking an ambassador position with the University of South Carolina. If he accepts that role, Spurrier would be a special assistant to school president Harris Pastides and athletic director Ray Tanner.
The ambassador position would begin once Spurrier’s official employment at South Carolina ends on Dec. 31.

Spurrier quit on his team in the middle of the season. When things get tough, he heads to the golf course.

You don't have to tell me that..I lived it.
He's 20 minutes at most from Augusta National by plane from Cola.
But...I'd be fine with aTm getting him. Hope they expect him to recruit as well. If they think they're tanking now, just wait. Spurrier is not the Spurrier of old. HE is old but that's about it.
Oh..and they can have his two sons along with him.
3 people doing the work of 1/4 of one.
