Wut. He's made Arizona respectable (while taking them to the Fiesta Bowl), he took WVU to two BCS bowls (didn't coach the second one) and they won both. His downfall at Michigan was trying to bring the 335 with him and a ton of behind the scenes crap from Michigan alums who didn't like him because he wasn't a "Michigan man."
Rich Rod would be a very good hire for Tech.

Why? He had success with the spread until teams caught on to it. Hasn't done anything since leaving WVU.

I'm not so sure about that. Arizona is pretty apathetic about their football and VA Tech is a football-first school.
Competition overall is much more intense in the PAC-12 than the ACC and Virginia is a fertile recruiting ground just waiting to be tapped into by a local program.
