Negotiating for a new job and negotiating for a pay raise are two entirely different things. This is probably for a pay raise for Fisher just like Miles got during the Arkansas courtship few years ago. And his agent is the driving force since it is more more $$$ for him. His agent cannot get a pay raise unless his client - Fisher - does too. It sure sounds like Alleva bought the whole package....and LSU is "paying" for it with the bad press....

I don't think any of the coaches are worth the multi millions a year they are payed. However, if LSU truly was after Fisher then yes, the powers that be have to believe he is worth that much and be willing to pay it. It's the nature of the business these days unfortunately.
