I wonder if Nick is ready to go home? Even if WV can't pay as much as Alabama, it's not like he can't afford the pay cut.

How about Nick Saban and the former Auburn offensive coordinator.

Good choice. I would have been very happy for him to have been named at Arkansas

The Hogs are my second favorite team. I'm partial to them and I would have rather seen Arkansas hire Muschamp than Petrino.

I agree Rocket. Muschamp would have been a much better hire.

Thanks ROcket. I feel the same way about LSU.

I want to be clear, however, that I am pretty enthused about the Petrino hire. I don't think the bad publicity has done anything other than reinforce him staying at Arkansas for a fairly long time, and I think he will be successful.

who knows though?

For whatever reason, I've just never cared for Petrino. It doesn't really have anything to do with the way he left Atlanta. In fact, had he stayed, things would have probably gotten worse there for him.

I just think Muschamp is one of the good guys in college football. And he's a helluva coach. Alot of people on here for a long time haven't believed that. I think they are starting to see that.

If you get a chance to hear him speak, he's good.

You can spin this hire any way you want. This kind of publicity is not good when you consider the coaches he is recruiting against. You are also ASSuming he will be a world beater. What if he is not and Houston Nutt turns Ole Miss into more of a competitor than Arkansas? Arkansas and Petrino might both be in the same boat if that happens. A coach that noone wants and a school that noone wants to come to. It should be interesting!

I was thinking that, but do you think Bowden wants to run the spread? He's more old school, right?

Anyone think Crowton would get a looksy?

Cowher, maybe?
