He is a serious coach, who plays SEC style defense, and has definitely had his share of great offenses as well.
He has made his big run at TCU while UT was down, and its a numbers game now with the other Big-12 teams, and I bet he would be more open now to the challenge that ever before.

I like Patterson, but word is he's set up at TCU and likely not looking to jump.

I just find it unusual that his name does not come up that often, in comparison to a lot of others anyway.

I know all that, but things change, and that statue can come down easily.
Coaching at LSU is a challenge it think he embraces.

Patterson has all kinds of crazy incentives built into his contracts...I even heard about oil wells...not leaving
