Meanwhile: I'm told the #Colts did not speak with Sean Payton's agent before re-signing coach Chuck Pagano last night. SF or NO for Payton

Some back tracking in this one. First time he's mentioned he may stay in nola

All of this talk about CSP leaving, I think he stays because its closest in proximity(excluding Cowboys) to his son.

this just sounds like sour grapes. I don't think NFLN is in the business of letting their people knowingly spread false information.

It really reminds me of all the 49ers fans saying "Oh the media just hates us, there's no way they'd trade Jim Harbaugh. Mike Florio, a licensed attorney who is also a professional broadcaster and writer, just made that up because he wasn't getting enough money/web traffic/ego masturbation. Poor us".

And I only think that if what Rapaport says is 100% true, there's like a 5-10% chance of it happening, contracts, trade terms etc make it unlikely, but this stuff comes out for a reason.

Yeah I'd say less than 20% it actually happens but it would be fun just to all the Saints fans I know

Do you see Saints fans jumping off of bridges because of all this?

No one is saying Sean isn't out there looking. It is certainly possible.

All we are saying is that Rap is not a reliable source.

He does have a daughter that goes to Pepperdine and Sean told me 3 weeks ago that he is working hard to rekindle their relationship.

And he has a son in Dallas

Supposedly his daughter is taking the next year abroad too...

And I'm sure y'all are best buds

Rapoport is the most reliably wrong NFL reporter there is, and I'm not just saying this as a Saints fan

That's the fun part of making these predictions. Just make a vague prediction with no time limit, wait, and then act like a genius when it happens. Unless you predicted Belichick would be fired soon like 15 years ago or something.

He's a decent coach with an offensive system that tends to work wherever and I think would really suit the Niners (especially the O-line). I'd be cool with it. But I don't see him taking a SB unless Kaepernick begins to ball out Cam Newton style, which again, given the system would probably suit him, not impossible.

sounds like the Saints have a presser set up for today with Payton. Expect that he announces he will stay on for at least his ncurrent contract.
