Thats why I put

I suppose it is about what region you are from I think they are equal programs, but like other posters said easier path to titles.

Having said that I would be really surprised if he went to Texas. Figured if he did go it would be to a big ten school.

I don't know about bigger, but Texas is a better job in every way.

IMO...I'd take BAMA over texas. When texas wins all is well in Tejas. When texas loses, DKR Pepsi Goodyear Burger King Stadium is a ghost town.

maybe so but not nearly the pressure or expectations of coaching in the SEC west.

You got that right...maybe saban wants Texas to "rebuild" and "get away." At the same time, the dying Longhorn Network is saved???

You're wrong. The Gumps have been butt raped by Texas - numerous times.

Bear Bryant never won a single game against Texas.

We see how that Bryant guy turned out. Plus, while coaching at aTm, he beat Texas.

The Gumps are 1-7-1 against Texas. We were talking about them, not aTm. As a Gump Bryant was winless against them just as he was against Notre Dame. I also firmly believe that Texas would have defeated Bama in the BCSNCG had Colt McCoy not been injured. That is pure conjecture so there is really no reason to debate the issue.

So yes, Texas is a better program than Alabama. You might not want to admit that, but it's true.

This was key to your earlier comment...

And no, Bama is still a better program - not that I really give a damn.

Anyway and

Easier to win the Big 12 and go to the BSCNCG than it is to win the SEC West?

This. I dont believe for a second that he is going anywhere but if he did, its not just about the money. Its about being in a conference with less roadblocks

Saban could win over there..as opposed to the grind of the SEC...and with the talent in Texas he could recruit out the arse..JS

@greggdoyelcbs Mentioned the Saban rumor to DeLoss Dodds. After he quit laughing, he said that was "just absurd." I took that as a denial.

This. Texas is the #1 job in the country.

That being said, Saban isn't going...
