Really hope the NFL keeps its dirty hands off of coach Chris. Word is John Harbaugh will be flying to BR after the Ravens season ends to pick coach Chris’s brain on en vogue special teams tactics.

Raymond needs to coach all the DBs anyway because our safety play dropped drastically when he focused on just corners

Hasnt it been discussed that Calloway would have a on the field postion?

There’s no room at the inn at this point. The OC has every right to decide who his right hand man will be. Even though Callaway had a much better stint as an OC and has the better resume, that doesn’t mean Mangus can’t be a great PGC. If he’s who Peetz is comfortable working with, then that’s all that matters.

Callaway can probably get an position coach gig somewhere else if he wants, especially in G5 or FCS again. But based on the positive comments from others on staff, we will probably try to keep him on as an analyst for a bit longer. Maybe he will hang around and get promoted at some point when a spot opens up.

So in your scenario, Mickey Joseph is not retained. Do I have to explain why this won't happen? (Or if it were to happen due to Title IX, why none of the coaches you listed would be his replacement?)

There is no need for 6 offensive coaches when you have analysts. Either Peetz or DJ will handle QBs and the other TEs.
My guess:
Peetz QB
Mangas TE

The combo hire all but assures no on field spot for Callaway. He may hang around but it won't be long.

Easy math people.

Good question - Calloway should be the QB coach at a minimum

Calloway will continue as an analyst. If we hire Freeman, he will also coach LBs and we'll hire a Safeties Coach. If we hire someone with DB experience, he will coach Safeties and we will hire a LBs Coach. Coach O prefers a dedicated Safety Coach and a dedicated DL Coach.

LSU tight ends have been coached by a GA for the past three seasons. I'm sure it will continue to be so.

Freeman's choice is gonna be himself and a safeties coach. "Raymond wants to coach everything" fans will be sad.

I realize that but that wasn't my point.

Callaway was passed over for Mangas. Both DJ and Peetz have QB coach experience.

Who coached TEs this year once Decoster left?

Shay, who was Mcneese TE coach and came here as a G.A. to coach TEs.
