I'm not saying Brick would be terrible. He might be great.

But, I'd like someone to point to something about Brick that makes you think he will be good. That really should be a requirement of a hire like this, don't you think?

Was he exceptional in his current position. Has he actively participated in the game planning of the defense? What is it that makes you think he will be good.

Yall should go all in for Bill Clark. I hope you don't, though.

Some of you have no idea what it's like to interview a coach or be interviewed so many things go into it. Not just scheme,or can I recruit. It's hard enough to make these decisions at lower levels. It would be hard to move completely to another state across the country. Mabe the family didn't want to come. Coaches don't just decide on ther own. If the guys has a family they will do what's right for them. And if shoop got a raise to stay in a place his family is comfortable and set in ther way you can't blame him or Lsu. It's called his families choice has nothing to do with miles or Lsu.

then durkin rejected us and went to UM

then pendergrast came crashing down with a rejection

i even got on the shoop bus. LSU DENIED

Exactly and no one else does either but you're willing to gamble away 2015 to find out

Florida State gambled with Pruitt who had never even been a DC before.

The guy can flat out coach. Shame what happened to him at UAB, he had them on the right track. I want him at Bama, like, yesterday.

2. None of you know how Brick would do with our talent.

His DLs have been pretty lackluster since 2011 and he is the all time silver medal champion in recruiting. Besides Peveto he is the assistant I think most needs to be shown the door.

After reading about Clark, I agree.

He looks like a great coach waiting for that right opportunity.

Wish he had more skins on the wall at a higher level, but he's been successful everywhere he's been.

DCs don't like losing every time their unit gives up 20 points.

Fix the offense and DCs will be lining up for the opportunity at LSU.

It's really that simple. Replace Kragthorpe. Take the cuffs off Cam. And feed Buga the ball 25 times a game. (But get him off kickoffs. He's great but don't risk that injury.)

Is Shiano really even a possibility? I know his name was mentioned but seems more likely he will be on another NFL team. I'm sure there are other names. It's just that this is one tight lipped DC search that will end up being really good or a pick like Clark which would be ok or Haley which IMO would be a disappointment but could workout. I do understand what all the axiety with the other schools coaching search was about now though.

We'd take Steele or Stoops in a heart beat over Haley. (Tepper and Mallveto as well)........

I don't know. Stoops possibly, but I would ride with Haley over Steele.

Bruh, I've been as positive as I could be throughout Les's entire tenure. I've been called a pumper more times then I can remember, but watching as Les and Alleva have completely mishandled this search has made me realize that it's just time for some new blood. It's been 10 years. An incredibly successful ten years, but you can't deny that the program is in a sharp decline. Unless there's some home run hire waiting in the wings, then Les has lost me.

I'm with you, Bob Barker. I've defended Les Miles on here for ten years.

As someone who spent fifteen years in corporate management hiring and firing people, I know a shite-show when I see it.

This is a shite-show.

From his demeanor on the sidelines lately to this cluster-frick of a DC hiring process, Les seems like he doesn't care anymore and is just drawing his paycheck for as long as he can.

Alleva's top priority is threatening students over a meaningless juvenile chant.

I am officially off the Les Miles bandwagon and I was never on the Joe Alleva bandwagon.
