Multiple sources say Fenves, in consult with school officials, had decided to fire Strong on Sunday.

If Strong is not fired, it will be the move of Chancellor McRaven to undue what had already been done.

By not removing Strong following Kansas (or Oklahoma State for that matter), it leaves doubt. And with doubt comes opportunity.

That's what we saw from Strong's press conference on Monday. It's what we've seen from the players considering a "boycott" of the TCU game, and even what we've seen from media critics nationally.

The doubt leaves an undeniable opening.

As one source said this morning, "I've been in this business a long time. I've seen a lot crazy sh*t happen."

"You can't tell me that if we beat TCU, and these kids carry Charlie off the field just like they did against Notre Dame in front of a national TV audience that it won't matter."

"It'll matter. The court of public opinion will be open."

TLDR: basically, this guy might keep Strong

no way that a major school would have such a stupid emotional reaction to the biggest issue in the athletic department based off of a coach being carried off the field by his team

With the UT players threatening to boycott the TCU game, it almost seems like the same Miles/LSU situation. AD is hamstrung because of a few hopeful fans, some of which who may have some sway.

I still think he gets fired as UT won't pass on the opportunity to snag Herman

Nah, he lost to Kansas. He gone. I don't think too many fans are still wanting to keep him after that.

This would be incredible. It's what happened to LSU, but magnified by 100 and with a shittier coach.

only unidentical part is Les was a more tenured coach with a natty ring and another natty appearance under his belt.

What's worse is the idiots running lsu would still try to hire fisher and not even interview herman. Epic fail.

And Strong is undeniably the worst coach in Texas history by winning percentage.

I wouldn't risk delaying the Jimbo hiring in the off chance Herman would even want to go to LSU. That's how you frick shite up.

If you have a chance to for sure lock down Jimbo, you do it. He's more of a sure thing.
