Last year?

LSU 31
Auburn 10

This year with Newton? Totally different story.

So that game defined the whole season for the Auburn offense?

They still finished 2nd in the SEC in offense.

I would like to see some facts that Newton is the reason that Malzahn is having a good year.

Malzahn's offense ranks since 06.

2006 - 18th with Casey Dick at QB
2007 - 1st
2008 - 1st
2009 - 20th with Chris Todd at QB
2010 - 7th

So, 50% of the time without Newton he has the #1 offense in the nation.

Newton could play for Tulane and they would run thru the SEC undefeated like Auburn did this year.

He had a good QB this year, what happens if that is not available?

That rules Chizik out, maybe they are looking at Dye.

Anyone who thinks Malzahn cannot coach is mentally challenged. Please look at his results. He has had a top offense everywhere he has been. He can recruit, develop and get the most from his players. He has made everyone of his QBs better and has had his offenses in the top-rankings every year. He is about to add a national championship ring to his hardware collection.

Hmmm, 50% of the time without Newton he's been playing in Conference USA.......if that's what you're implying.
