Reggie Herring (Dallas Cowboys Linebacker Coach)
Mark Snyder (Former Marshall Head Coach)
Todd Grantham (Dallas Cowboys Defensive Line Coach)

Thoughts on these three guys?

Dad, there is a chance we will be replacing two coordinators at the end of the season...I can't be resting at a crucial time like this.

I had a feeling this was coming from the Atlanta radio mentions and Jim Donnan. Also viewing his body language(folded arms, unhappy face, a few stares into the indoor facility ceiling between plays, and other facial expressions at a recent practice)..just doesn't look happy to be here..seriously.

Dick Bumpas, Ellis Johnson, Kevin Steele, Tyrone Nix, Bill Young, Carl Pelini, Nick Holt, Rod Marinelli, Mike Nolan, etc..

Then what other College or NFL guys may become free? Jax has a solid talented staff under JDR, if let go. Philips' and Zorn's staffs. And/or individuals looking for promotions and/or back to college ball?

Snyder's wiki says he's in negotiations for the Central Michigan job?

Is there anything remotely concrete, or just he said/she said? I guess anything is possible, but I'm not convinced, despite all the threads on the board.

i like all three. herring is definitely aggressive and would play man to man with PP...that would be sick. he is a LB guy, he doesnt really adjust, plays aggressive regardless of personnel but with our guys im fine with that

miles went after snyder before we got pelini, also a LB guy, he had a good D at ohio state

Grantham is a saban disciple and has NFL coordinator experience, may be a 3-4 guy and not a LB coach but his name comes up alot

other guys i like:

Tyrone Nix-long shot i think, his next move is HC
George Edwards-LB-dolphins-went after him as well, similar to grantham
Jim Herrmann-LB giants-former michigan DC, ties to miles
Phil bennett-pitt DC
Kevin Steele-clemson

Herring is aggressive and exactly what I want in our scheme...but hes still questionable. Wouldn't be upset about the hire but it wouldn't be homerun either...

Snyder. Was good about 4 years ago...haven't heard much from him since. Wouldn't be a bad hire but hes the coach where you say, "what have you done lately to make me like you"

Grantham? Wasn't this guy groomed under Saban? I don't know much about him. Has he proven to be a DC anywhere? Not exactly sure this is the time for LSU to go out and take a risk on a coordinator...

I like, excluding NFL names because they're a lot less likely to come:

Ellis Johnson
Phil Bennett
Tyrone Nix

Any of those three would make me real happy. I doubt Nix leaves and Johnson isn't coming here as long as Cooper is on staff...

As I'm sure people know, Herring has LSU ties.

Where did he coordinate at and how good did he do? I'm assuming he wasn't that great since hes a DL coach now?

Chicken, I know you don't like it when we bash the rant, but Jesus Christ.
