Western Michigan coach PJ Fleck did not receive a formal interview with the Oregon Ducks today, per source. Door closed there.

Where will he go? Cincy?

Should colleges interview every candidate even if they don't want them? What's wrong with Oregon

It was rumored fleck was a wrap. He didn't interview but there was plenty of talk with his agent. Fleck wants to coach the Cotton bowl. Oregon's recruiting class can't wait. Personally, I say let him come in with a month.

Yikes.

Could have had Purdue if he wanted it.

More examples of coaches being left out in the cold after turning their noses up at jobs they are fits for.

He'll row the boat to 9-3 next year, will have cost himself over 1.5 million and end up in a lowP5 job

Nah. He's just stuck on an island since they have a big bowl game coming up.

Makes me respect the guy more that he won't abandon his team right before the biggest game in the programs history

+1. If he goes 9-3 losing 18 seniors then pay the man.

Good for Western Michigan. They will get a lot of publicity going into next season

I agree. Canzano also said that they want more steak than sizzle.

If I were a betting man, I think we get Dan Mullen at this point with the names I know of.

However, if "rest of the field" was an option, I might choose that.

We've interviewed Taggart, Harsin and Schiano and 5-6 new ones.

They don't want a coach who uses stupid phrases to motivate players.

Could be smokescreen to avoid bidding war like our dumb Alleva vs. Herman.

The supposed insiders are saying it's Chip or Mullen. Canzano was saying on the radio that the search firm has uncovered targets that the Oregon brass didn't think existed and the search is ongoing.

At least your school's AD is more civilized than LSU's AD that they hire a real search firm. It's a winning approach to find a hidden gem.
