Joe Alleva is borderline mentally retarded. Or he just doesn't understand the importance of LSU FOOTBALL and it's well being. SO MANY PEOPLE live and die with LSU football and Alleva acts like it's a goddamn Pop Warner team. frick Alleva.

Yeah Alleva screwed the pooch not talking to him. Best young coach in game.

How do we always end up with such shitty AD's?? Broadhead, Dean, Alleva. Skip was pretty good..... but wow..... how bad have the others been!!!

Skip was good. He took crap for making some unpopular decisions with prices, parking, etc.

Alleva is approaching Joe Dean depths. That is a depth you never want to mess with.

He barely won vs a terrible 4 loss team with superior talent. Fleck is gonna flame out at a P5 school.

Jesus.. So since he barely won against a team with inferior talent he isn't a good coach?

Nick Saban, the best coach EVER, lost to UAB when he was at LSU. But since Fleck barely WON he's not a good coach

Can't believe we didn't target this guy. Just proves for the second year in a row Alleva has no clue what he's doing.

Or too bad he hasn't coached a team none of us ever knew existed. Sorry

Yes, I understand it certainly wasn't a search for sure. He had 3 and 3 only candidates. I would have loved Fleck to interview or even consider Aranda to secure Defensive stability, but for now all I know is that Orgeron is an upgrade from Les Miles in my eyes, he has vision and plan to get there. I always felt with Les Miles - it WAS all about him and then the team second. It seemed that LMiles had this self importance thing going on and LSU was second to that. I am pulling for Orgeron to think big, put his plan out there and execute it. He doesn't seem to have a ego driven personality like Miles. Geaux Coach Oeaux and LSU Tigers

I feel that Alleva's leash was very short after the Johnny Jones hire, but this is a whole other level. I expected that he wouldn't have the balls to hire Ed O. I still feel like this is a massive joke. I don't want to accept the "fan" support that i've seen. It all just feels like a massive PR campaign in which the fan base is forced to accept a bullshite hire. Why the hell would you not consider a young, energetic, guy who turned around a dog shite program into 13-0. We are so fricking stupid and will be so down for the next few years despite elite talent.

frick our administration.

We just hired a guy who has already proved he fails against tougher opponents. Why don't we take a chance on one who might actually beat them? Probably would have gotten him for close to the same price too.

Espcially considering he had 2 months to look and LSU was the only open position during this time.
