He spoke to someone involved in the search and was told that there are people in the room with opinions but no one is telling Woodward who to hire, its on him.

If true, thats the smartest thing Tate has ever said. Look at what Saban did to Alabama as a whole from having a great football team. Kids from all over the country want to go there and they now have a shite ton of money that they reinvested into the university.

Not sure about Culotta and his sources. He seems to be a bit of a huckster in his reporting and maybe doesn’t have the source integrity that I’d rely on.
I do believe that Tate is not interested in hiring based on skin color alone.
