I think the point is (and the point of the running joke) that we are not supposed to guess and thus "out" a very valuable source of information. Chicken has confirmed belowpar's identity and vouches that belowpar, is, in fact, privy to the kinds of information that has been put out. When you consider that belowpar does not come on here whining, complaining, running an agenda, and also has been absolutely correct, typically 12 hours before media confirmation, let's just let the identity issue lie.
What if it is, let's say Person X? Then we get all pleased with ourselves that we've outed belowpar, and the person, who tried to help us is publicly embarassed, and we lose this valuable source of information. What then? Won't we be very pleased that our curiosity has been satisfied?
