Outside of Tigerdroppings, not seeing much on Fisher to LSU

Coworker is a big Nole fan and member of their TD equivalent. Their "Chicken" has been posting pretty much equivalent information that pops up here, but believes that Fisher is staying.
Some of the items seen here, $6-7MM salary and housing allowance are the same things being floated over there. This guy believes that in order to stay at FSU, Jimbo is asking for more money for his staff and a setup like Alabama with the non-coaching "consultants" that make up a huge part of Bama's success, along with a salary increase to the $6MM range which FSU is prepared to match.
Anyway, the FSU folks feel that we are only being fed one side of the story which is pro Jimbo to LSU. Unless Jimbo despises Tallahassee and Florida State, I don't see us being able to offer anything that FSU could not which gets back to the question of why would he leave?
The main argument would be why hasn't Fisher come out and said he is not coming to LSU and bury it right now. The counter to that would be because they are in the middle of renegotiating his contract and are not ready to make a statement.
Anyway, hope Fisher comes, but just don't see why he would.

Clearly they will be biased and say he won't leave FSU. Just let it all play out.
Some people are biased and think he will come to LSU. It's the same thing.

So, you're telling me that LSU fans think Jimbo is coming to LSU and FSU fans think he's staying at FSU. Interesting.

Alleva appreciates it...

Literally any piece of info you see anywhere is nothing but speculation at this point. If LSU whiffs on Jimbo you will likely see the shitstorm to end all shitstorms. If fact, if we don't hear something by Monday you can expect pretty much the worse from Alleva because it means something fell through.

so basically LSU folks think he will leave and FSU folks think he won't
cool
at minimum, they've got to be sick of him doing this consistently. The man will not flat out say he isn't interested. Whether he leaves or not, it's unprofessional to continually force your employer to up your pay based on outside offers.

It doesn't bother me because I understand how negotiations work. FSU fans that get it understand that he should always use bargaining power to improve the program. Why wouldn't he use LSUs interest to leverage more pieces if he can? Saying publicly that he's never leaving would the the worst thing he could do. Bottom line, any poster on a message board is guessing at what he will do, no one has a clue.

I agree.
well, to an extent. Many coaches outright lie to the media.

Maybe a little unprofessional, but you get paid what the market values you at. He'd be an idiot not to use this to his advantage. I'm sure you would too.
If he comes to LSU, I would believe that he would have such a high buyout that we wouldn't be dealing with this every year. It's on FSU slightly that his buyout is a modest $5mm which is allowing him some of this leverage.
Anyway, my point was if FSU can and will match everything LSU offers, why would he leave ? He would have to really love Baton Rouge and the LSU program. One other thing I read either here or somewhere else is that LSU folks think that FSU won't go north of $6MM and that is why we would be able to get him. That'd be the only reason I could Imagine him wanting to leave, but could FSU really not afford $6MM?

They didn't up his pay last year. I don't think Jimbo will leave FSU, they will certainly match what LSU will offer. Think of Miles bullshite with Arkansas.
