Scheme, personality, and fit and been talked about but nobody is talking about the recruiter prowess of the possibilities for the offensive coordinator position. Please rank the best recruiters and developer of QBs out of the names being thrown around. Does anyone stand out above the rest in regards to these categories?

We have enough recruiters. That's our HC's only job. We need execution.

You can never have too many top recruiters in college football. If all were near the same level as a coordinator, where do they rank as recruiters?

Probably Kendall Briles . Especially in Texas

LINK

Kendal Briles was promoted to Baylor’s offensive coordinator last season after several years working with the Bears’ receivers. He also is regarded as one of the top young recruiters in the country, and he has even stronger connections throughout Texas than Cumbie or Morris.

This is just one link , but I've heard others mention it .

Briles is a legend in Texas. Take a look again on what he did at Baylor.

His rep has taken a hit, but I still think he would be a good fit. If not then Kendall is a safe bet.

We need more people with high coaching IQ in the building.

And if you're hiring someone based on their recruiting prowess over their Xs and Os, yes you can have too many recruiters. It's just diminishing returns after a certain point, and lack of athletes has not been our shortcoming vs teams like Bama. It's coaching IQ.

I agree. But I think the original poster was inferring that if all other things were equal. Go with the better recruiter.
Which I would agree with

I agree. I think this was a major problem that Miles had as well. He hired great recruiters and amassed a lot of talent. Unfortunately he and his hires weren't so great at developing talent.
