As an OU fan, I figured LSU people would like to hear something from the other side, because most people here are going to have “LSU sources”. They aren’t going to know anything about the OU side, because I can point out BS posts, vs real stuff.
So I figured, I could add the OU POV, which mostly dispelled all the other crap people posted. It wasn’t a $ thing, it wasn’t “OUs too poor”, it’s not “OUs can’t afford it due to the SEC move” which is actually the opposite, it’s truly LR seeing how good LSU’s program is set up. He’s a winner. He wants to win.

So Lincoln Riley who was pulled out of ECU and made OU OC, and then made the Head Coach of OU at 33 years old. Is going to go to LSU which will wreck the 22' and 23' recruiting classes, cause the starting QB to possibly transfer and put OU late into the game in trying to find a replacement hire?

Even with those classes, he wasn’t winning it all at OU.
OU boosters aren’t handing out NIL deals left and right. They aren’t giving him $ to get “analysts”, to give his assistants 1m+ salaries, to allow him to do things without compliance jumping down his neck, etc.
I get it, you’re upset, I wasn’t thrilled, but you just got to trust Joe C. Similar to Woodward, he’s going to get someone and not let them say no.

I’ve been pretty firm in the Riley camp given the limited information available.
As far as conspiracy theories go, I’ll play. Part of why Riley is comfortable leaving OU is that the Bobfather has shown interest in returning to the college game. Lincoln can return the favor and leave it for bob and all is right in the world

You missed my point. If Riley leaves for LSU than he knows what kind of damage that would do to the school that took a big chance on him.
BTW, does your source in the AD's office know you are out leaking this info? There is probably what, 10 people in the office who would know that right now? Does the OU BoR know?

Big picture it seems plausible that either Riley or Aranda might have accepted an offer for the pay raise and/or opportunity. Truthfully I don't know which one would be the better hire. The idea of Aranda plus the kissing bandit at OC would be cause for optimism- maybe more than Riley in the medium or long term
But it were Riley and I'm OU? I hire Aranda and feel pretty good about it. And just imagine how spicy the LSU vs OU games would become.
