Oregon Head Coach Candidates

It's looking like Oregon is giving Mark Helfrich the axe, who do you guys think they should hire?
If I was the AD my list would include in no particular order:
1. Bryan Harsin, Boise State Head Coach-He's had success at Arkansas State and Boise State, Oregon is a different animal though. I think he can do well at Oregon though. Only problem would be is he's at his alma mater so he may be content staying there.
2. P.J Fleck, Western Michigan Head Coach-I doubt this one happens. Fleck doesn't seem like a West Coast guy and he's said he wants to stay in the Midwest. But the guy can flat out coach. Money talks and I would at least give him a call.
3. Mike MacIntyre, Colorado Head Coach-I don't know if he would leave Colorado with the way he's turned them around but he's very good at turning around programs and that's exactly what Oregon needs.
4. Troy Calhoun, Air Force Head Coach-He's an Air Force man through and through but he's killing it there and could want a bigger challenge. He's knocked off Boise State 3 years in a row as well.
5. Chip Kelly, San Francisco 49ers Head Coach-The guy flat out sucks as an NFL coach, and I think he wants to go back to coaching college ball. He made Oregon a powerhouse. He could do it again.
**Longshot**
Rocky Long, San Diego State Head Coach-He's a true West Coast guy, which Oregon will most likely go with. He has experience in the conference and he's made SDSU a really, really solid program. Only downfall is he's on the older side and I think Oregon wants to go with someone on the younger side.

Chip Kelly does not want to go back to college

I think SF will give him another year. Unless they finally get rid of baalke
He may come running back to college but by all accounts he doesn't want to be in college because he hates recruiting

Sumlins agent loves to float his name for big jobs like this so that people think he's a big time head coach

Who cares? Gimme Helfrich at OC. Now

This board is not LSU specific. Amazing how many people don't know that.

1. Lane Kiffin, Alabama offensive coordinator- just so he doesn't come to Baton Rouge.

If you're crossing off every coach that has committed adultry, then you might never find a coach

I just don't trust Lane without Saban to keep him in check or shadow staffs to help him game plan. At least Joey Freshwater attempts to keep his creepin on the down low.

I'm with you on the Saban aspect. I think lane needs someone to keep a lid on him
Sterlin Gilbert is a guy we need to look at. He turned that awful Texas offense around with a freshman QB. Runs a spread attack but go look at their RB numbers, they aren't an air raid

Which Orgeron will not do. I can't believe just how many fans don't see that Kiffin has spurts of awful play calling that leads to Saban getting in his arse. What do they think will happen without Saban next to him to remind him to run the ball?

Agreed. D'Onta Foreman ran for over 2,000 yards & lead the nation in rushing this year for Texas in only 11 games. Not too people realize that.
Lol @ that other thread with all those poo arse OC candidates.
