No Jimbo? No Tom? Then it has to be Orgeron.
There's too much uncertainty with every other name that's been mentioned on this board.

I'm starting to get pissed off.

Jimbo. Geez do people want a proven coach with a natty or just a hot name at a lower school.

Surely there has to be options. I know Louisianians are dumb but its hard for me to believe they will call it a day after Herman and Jimbo and settle for O

LSU decision makers weren't impressed with any beyond Herman and Fisher to hire over O. He climbed to top of B List

Fuente would be the next best option, but that 10 mil buyout is rough and he may not want to bail after just one season with a shot at an ACC title. His coaching ability is proven at this point, though.

I put would Gundy next, with Fedora a distant option. I'm sure a lot of people would take O over Fedora, which I can understand. He still has more question marks. I would still take Gundy over O, myself. He would just need a staff that could up his recruiting game.

But none of this matters. None of these guys will be considered.

I would think it's more important for your top dog to be an ace recruiter.

The topic assumes Fisher is out of the picture. He was my number 1 choice

Love Fleck but no chances. Maybe if our next coach doesn't work out on a few seasons

How about a guy by the name of Jimbo Fischer? Have anyone of you guys ever heard of him? I'm guessing that he would make a pretty damn good head football coach.

No, actually Gene Chizik is an unproven head coach with a national championship.

His offenses would be enough to recruit.. lsu recruits itself. Miles is proof of that.. watch him at his next job. He won't get anyone
