Very good resume. We could do a lot worse. I would be happy with him.

He also said he wanted to run a pro style earlier in the year.

Alleva also said there would be a coaching search.

Moral of the story...some people just tell you what they think you want to hear while having zero sense of direction.

Why is everyone so sure that it's Steve Ensminger, & he's put up much better yardage than Cam Cameron'Offenses did

This nailed it. Orgeron ran a political campaign and our decision makers elected him. Problem is we needed a coach specifically one that could get us out of the bad qb cycle. What do we do? Hire a dl coach.

Craig won't be the OC this year, but I would tell him to study the new system in and out and he could be ready to take over it in a year or two once the new OC leaves for a HC job

He also said he wants a pro-style QB .
He also said he wants a duel threat QB.
See a pattern yet????

On behalf of the LSU fan base , I would like to congratulate you for your persistence and concern with Lsu's coaching hires.
I've never seen a fan from another school put in equal and sometimes even more research than our own fans. You have raised the bar in things that shouldn't concern you. There should be a board dedicated for over achievers such as yourself.

In O's defense that's what he said when he got the interim gig. What I got from that is the playbook in place is more pro-style and he was gonna tweak it and run mor play action. Now that the got full rein he wants to run the spread or some form thereof. Spread option, Power spread, etc. in my opinion I think, at the moment, that LSU would be better suited to run the Power Spread which is more run based with play action passing.

What if political realities mean that Ensminger has to stay OC, and Briles comes in as shadow staff for a year or so?

I could live with that if we fully implemented his power spread. I like Ensminger's playcalling - except for the Bama game - and we simply got out executed - I don't think we were out coached per se, particularly Kiffin vs. Aranda, or even Ensminger vs. Saban.

What does that even mean - "political realities"? Are you saying that LSU can't afford to pay for a good OC? Blew our load on Aranda? frick I swear to God some of you are like that little sad donkey in Winnie the Pooh - "Eeyore" - who had a black rain cloud hovering over him wherever he went.

I would've thrown money at Fisher and Herman, I am no Orgeron fan by any means... but he specifically is quoted as saying Ensminger would NOT be the permanent OC, and that he would hire a premium OC. I believe him.
