One of the powers in Texas High School Football?
I know there are several that have made big jumps in the past. (Malzahn, Briles,Freeze, Sanchez)
Todd Dodge failed at North Texas a few years ago.

Rush Propst could have been a star had he not had all the shady shite going on.

If you want to be a coach in college football FBS you need to start as a graduate assistant and work your way up or you start off in the Division II and III ranks before you get a job as an assistant coach at the FBS level.
No one should nor can make the jump from HS to being a head coach at the FBS level.

Could have made a Hollywood Reality Show. Bouncing between 2 families and coaching on top of that.

I do agree with you on this and this could be said about other sports. There are exceptions to the rule.

Nibblet at Hoover has been trying to bounce. He makes 125k, ATM. Saban has declined to hire him. I see him going out to Texas very soon to try his hand out west.

Mr. Sanchez is listed in the OP. I believe he is 2-6 in his first year though.

Some of these higher end high school jobs are more complex than d2 or d3 colleges. They recruit, have amazing facilities, and travel throughout the country.

Nibblett is a weirdo from what I hear. Showers at halftime and puts on new clothes every game.

Very weird. Loves him some Nibblet. He is not popular with the parents.

Didn't see that. Tough place to win.
On topic, Evangel HC and LSU alum Byron Dawson would be an excellent DL coach pickup for a team looking to recruit the Shreveport area.

The coach at Katy (Houston) would probably be a candidate if he wasn't like 60 years old already.

Am I supposed to know the names of "big time" high school football coaches?

I agree that there are high schools that have better facilities than some D2 or D3 schools, but college especially dealing with administrative things and bureaucracy's is a whole different ballgame. Grades and courses are a whole different ballgame in college than high school. You don't get credit or grades for just showing up and doing homework in college. You can't intimated a college professor with tenure as easily as a high school English teacher.
Plus it's easy to win big time when you such an advantage with facilities in high school and wealthier parents in some districts. Show me a coach who can beat schools with similar or better facilities and then you have a prove coach.

I would imagine the IMG coach would be a valuable asset in recruiting
