CH and Jacques Doucete are both reporting that the next two games are crucial for Alleva regarding Miles' future with LSU.

I'm just not so certain I can trust those sources. I'd love for it to be correct but does anyone here have any credible information?

I think there was an incident recently that chased belowpar off this board...

belowpar not coming back here, most likely.

And his sources probably wouldn't be the most objective in regards to this specific question.

Not sure, the thread in question was deleted by the admins, just recall posters saying belowpar was gone for good.

If I remember right he was outed as someone who worked on the administrative side of the athletic department but has since been fired/quit. Some speculated his higher-ups puts the pieces together from stuff he posted here and fired him for it.

Seat is warm. That's all there is, really.

Cam Cameron and BDP have their necks in the guillotine though.

I am by no means Belowpar, but there is movement...I can say that with confidence.

I am told that if LSU loses to Ole Miss this weekend, aTm will likely be Miles last game as the LSU coach. The hope is that he will retire and be willing to take a portion of what is owed, as opposed to the whole deal. If he takes that approach, he will be allowed to coach the bowl game.

Behind the scenes, things haven't been great all year. I also know for a fact that in the athletic building, the day the first CFP was to be announced, there was great anxiety that LSU would be ranked #1. In the building, they knew they were not remotely that good.

Alleva doesnt have the balls or the brains to make a move. Miles stays.

I thought he was Sherman Morris - but who knows? In any event, he is not longer a source of information from the inside.

Word will leak as this progresses. I can't imagine they would outright fire Miles at this point, but he may be offered a way out.

I mean, if you fire him, what do you tell the next guy? 110-31 isn't good enough? That's 78%. Even conference wise he's at 70%.

I want the team to do better, but firing a highly successful coach just does not have a high rate of success in college football. It is more of an art than a science.

Exactly. And who do you bring in? Some Offensive Xs and Os guru? That lasts a year or two until somebody figure that shite out (see Gus Malzan). A up and comer? It's much easier to chase than being chased...can they sustain success?

It's easy to say fire Les. Much Much harder to get somebody in here to bring it higher.
