He will raid this LSU class unless they can hire a show stopper, like Jimbo or Riley. I like Aranda but he ain’t hold on this class together.

What's your evidence/proof for this

Lol. If Napier is #2 on Woodward’s list then Woodward should just pack his bags now. Napier isn’t getting this job nor should he. It has nothing to do with ULL. It has everything to do with LSU being a top 3 job in the country snd not handing the reins over to someone who’s only done well in the sunbelt. That just isn’t the way things happen nor should it. Napier will be the guy if 20 others say no.

Ohio St is a better job and program than LSU and hired Jim Tressel, Woody Hayes who were coaches at Youngstown St and Miami of Ohio and then for their latest hire they hired Ryan Day who had never been a HC

They will find out one day, especially if we miss out on Lincoln. Everyone gave shite to people saying Napier is one of us. But, want to hire Aranda, who is literally one of us lol.

People were saying Napier to TCU, UVA, UW, and all the other subpar schools, but now Napier to UF makes sense

UF didn't look like it was going to open 3-4 weeks ago. Things changed.

According to a lot of folks, he shouldn't even sniff the LSU job, but they also don't want him at Florida because they're scared of what he'll do there.

He's not my first choice, but I think he would do great here. That said, if we end up with Napier, it's because we whiffed on several big names.

The only thing wrong with Napier is that he's only built one program. It's the Curley Hallman risk factor.

But Woodward has done this for a long time and he knows what he's looking for. If he decides on Napier there is every reason to believe he'll do well.

There are very few coaches in LSU's hiring history who have been approached and/or offered by other SEC and major schools. That would put Napier on the high end of what we traditionally take.

So sick and tired of the Riley shite. No offense the dude is not top tier. 5 best coaches in the country
1. Saban
2. Dabo
3. Day
4. Kirby
5. Campbell

The pro and anti Napier crowds on here are both unbearable dumb pieces of shite. He's either the worst thing ever cause they remember Dave Aranda from when he wore a purple shirt or he's gonna make us all pay when he wins 50 national titles at UF.

He was part of multiple team builds though. To me when I look at the Jay Johnson hire I see either Napier, Aranda, or Campbell. Honestly, can probably get Napier for the cheapest of them all.

This is a large part of the problem with the majority of those that hate on the guy. It’s the same reason why the Texas brass wouldn’t hire Art Briles several times. The pride of getting your head coach from little brother Baylor wouldn’t be allowed to happen.

The fact that LSU fans don’t want him at UF, but don’t want him at LSU should tell you everything.

I agree it should tell me something.. but I'm not sure what it is

It's just a curious case all around. I would like to see what he can do at a P5 school, but I'm not sure I'd like Woodward to take that chance with LSU. But then I'll be salty if he kills it at Florida or another big school

Disagree. Billy Napier has won 4 division titles in 4 years and is on the verge of 40 victories in 4 years. He’s coached & learned from Dabo & Saban. Those 2 clearly have not only the coaching part figured out but how to sustain culture as well.
The dude is going to win wherever he goes. A Tom Herman, Curly Hallman he is not.

Hallman went 23-11 in 3 years at USM.

It should be on qualification and Napier’s resume stacks up

Not advocating just being fair to the man and his work product
