tom crean isn't going to leave for any job other than michigan state.

no way calipari would go to lsu even if lsu did give him a big offer (they won't.)

grant would be a great hire, but i don't know if he would take the job. he's already turned down offers at other major conference schools. i know he really, really wants the miami job.

i didn't say that. i honestly don't know what grant would do. but crean and calipari aren't options.

i also think tubby smith would be an incredible hire, though he won't leave minnesota after only one year. it would have to be in a couple years.

If they made Calipari the highest paid coach in College basketball, he would leave IMO. LSU will never do such a thing for the basketball program though. I don't think Calipari is above chasing a payday.

12, Brady will be the coach next year too. I can promise you that. Skip won't fire him on the way out and the new guy won't have enough time. Plus, I'd like to see this recruiting class make it to campus.

f we could get either of them, LSU would be a legit top 10 program most years. We wouldn't pay the kind of money it would take to get these guys though.

You can pay the money upfront or on the back side thru the lack of post season revenues and other peripheral benefits.

Do you think some recruits may not come to LSU if Brady is not here next year?

no, I think some may not come if Pierre and Dollar aren't here next year.

Brady will retire here. Will those coaches be coaching then?

Grant, Jones, and Stallings are the absolute best three candidates. You are right on the bullseye.

If Brady retires, it will be a forced retirement by LSU. He will either be asked to resign or he will get the boot. I just hope it is my boot.

Adam Kennedy is definately one of the top 3 coaches in the SEC, but i dont know if our program is good enough to lure him away from a rising Ole Miss team. This is the better job down the road, but it will take some time.

If i had to rank the coaches in the SEC, i'd go

Donnovan (obviously)
Kennedy
